Note: Outdated images or installers may result in a non-bootable installation. Always update obarun-install and obarun-install-themes during installation when prompted.
Images
The Obarun image can be burned to a DVD, mounted as an ISO, or written directly to a USB flash drive.
This image is for new installations only; existing Obarun systems can be updated with pacman -Syu.
The installer for both flavors allows the installation of either flavor.
The JWM flavor builds on the minimal version by providing a lightweight graphical session, making it a practical graphical rescue system or a sane base to build your own system. This edition includes essential tools for web browsing, audio and video playback, basic system administration tasks and a fully operational 66 service management ecosystem for regular users. However, it’s not designed as a fully-featured desktop environment, so you won’t find extensive software for tasks like document creation or image editing.
